One time trial, a broken collarbone, broken hip, 2 broken ribs and a probable broken nose.  Two defending champs out and unable to defend their jerseys.  This out of 125 starters.  The TOC 6th Stage, the San Jose TT plus the 15 elite women.

That casualty list makes road racing look positively safe!

Not to mention the ToC Palm Springs stage 'finish'.

At least the camera crews didn't factor into the carnage.
