I'm on Yeti's mailing list and they sent out this sad but somewhat inspirational story. I did not know anything about "Ewing sarcoma" but I do now. Don't click and watch if you don't want to cry. https://yeticycles.com/stories/sams-story?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Sams%20Story

I read the whole article. So young. I lost my mom to colon cancer in 1995, however she was 78 years old. She never gave up, she fought to the bitter end. I visited her on the weekend prior to her death, I was going to see her again the following weekend but she passed. I'm 79, turn 80 this coming August. Life goes fast. Live life to the fullest. Anything to want to do, do it now. Don't wait until it's too late. 21 is too young. He was a nice young man....hard to read that article.

Ewings Sarcoma sucks....lost a friend / co-worker to it ~18 years ago. Like Sam, he was treated in a pediatric hospital because it is considered a pediatric disease. Me and another buddy shaved our heads in the office in support. Never did let my hair back.
RIP to both Sam and Monty.
Fuck cancer.
Just say "NO!" to WCP!!!!

CK, that's who I came to sport a shaved head... two nieces with cancer; one breast cancer the other some odd-ball thing. Shaved in solidarity with them. Both are 5+ years cancer free. Wish everyone could say the same.

It's good to know that not all cancers are lethal, but it must be pretty damn scary to live with the threat of it coming back when you're in remission. My next door neighbor lady, who had become a friend over the years, was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer (2017). After surgery, radio and chemo therapies, she withered and passed within 5 months, she was 61. That's hard enough but when it happens to a child or young person it's beyond sad.
