for gender equity purposes, how are we going to call promising female talent? Golden Girls? They already made a sitcom about this lol.

Hey OC, help me out. We are on a North American Engish language forum and IIUC you feel I misunderstood a non English term. OK. How should it be pronounced, and would that make it less likely to sound like a social disease to a native English speaker in the US or Canada? Of course I was snarky joking, but still, if I call someone a Cracker, or even a Klepper here, that's potentially loaded, Euro pronunciations and/or connotations not withstanding.

LSD - I assume you were referring to the clap.

But the e in Kleppers sounds more like the e in Kleptocracy. A considerable different sound at least to me.

Thanks. I get your point. Still, "klepper" sounds somehow unwholesome and potentially infectious to this native north american English speaker. Maybe leprosy, who knows. (yes this is ignorance)

Anyway, back to the OP, my point was there are some terms that have too much downside, at least here, that they are are a bad option.

As for Remco, I hope the antibiotics work.
