COld and rainy for weeks here in Chicago. We haven't seen 70* all June. More rain in the future, as well.

I hear ya. I had a meeting that lasted until 9:30 last night, and then a ride home through dark and rain. One of my front lights lost battery 4 miles from home. Blech. I do not like riding in the pitch dark with only one front light, and rain on my glasses. If only someone would invent workable "glasses wipers". |

dayum........we would love some of that rain here in NM, we are drying up, two fires raging in NM, one west of here in the Jemez Mtns, and the other east of here in the Pecos Mtns. the forest service will most likely be shutting down all wilderness areas within days, which is good, time to keep the idiots out of there, but that means no riding the MTB anymore this season here, we'll have to road trip it somewhere, |

It's been raining here in Philly for three days now and today driving home traffic sucked. It rained hard today and water was gushing every where. They are calling for chances of rain and an afternoon thunderstorm tomorrow but hell I'm getting on my bike and going for a ride, rain or shine. I'll clean my bike when I get back. The good news is it'll be warm. Mother nature is not feeling too good these days, tornados flooding fires and man has the NE been windy. Nice poem Spud.

Good reason for having two lights. I only need reading glasses so I just go "lense free" in the rain. I guess having a "team car" follow me in the rain would defeat the purpose of commuting by bicycle? |

@ Gonzo. I've seen more rain here in two weeks, than I've seen back home in 4 years. |

Likely no rain in So Cal until October. It has been on 'dry' year though the media misses the amount of fog and marine layer that has been deeper, wetter, and coming much further inland this year than normal. Most of the local plants are adapted to this source of moisture. Of course it doesn't help the lakes, streams, or ground water tables. GJ - send a little of our PNW rain down here ! |

that's crazy Spud, we need it bad here, HOPEFULLY our monsoon season kicks in hard and good this summer, or we are fooked. Some people say we are in the hundred year drought cycle, so it's been like this here before |

Seriously Gonzo. Down here in Albuquerque, it feels like friggin' Phoenix. Took my fat, out of shape a$$ for a short 30, but it included up Tramway, and more killer, up La Luz. Oy. Nick |

Do not despair...I have figured out where the signs of summer are hiding, right here on Mt Seymour Descending with limited visibility...priceless. Feeling all your bones ache from frigging cold downhill, not so much. |

JP - we're having the nicest Spring in five years. I've got nothing to give (and am glad to be able to report that). |
