Packing up the bike for the journey home. Turned it over and low and behold. Only thing I can think of that would have caused this, was a richocet of a rock.

Bummer!
Hopefully it is mostly aesthetic and can be patched.

What is the frame material ?
Is that BB threaded into the frame?

Huck I hope it can be repaired. More to keep the dirt out.
The material would be carbon and can't tell if that BB is threaded in. Heading to my LBS after work.
