@ jrt - I caught it!! Side note - Jonathan Banks has signed on to reprise his role as Mike in Better Call Saul .

Great news. (BB fan here, too). Just plain great in the role of Mike. Who do you watch in every scene he's in? Usually him, even when he's in the background. I'll be looking for Johan's cameo in the new series.

Suppose it’s an Old Yeller situation You remember Old Yeller. Best dog a boy ever had. But then he turned rabid and, well, there just wasn’t any choice any more. Old Yeller was out of control. He was a danger to everyone around him. So yeah, sure, everyone would cry about it later, but right now they had to deal with the immediate problem.
