White Sox (and former Cubs) catcher Wellington Castillo gets popped for EPO. he owns up to it, says he made the decision and he holds himself responsible for it. He is a douchebag for doping, but props to him for dealing with it in a straight-forward manner.
Just say "NO!" to WCP!!!!

EPO?
WTF? It’s baseball, not much benefit from blood doping.

Yeah, I had the same thought....but catcher is a pretty demanding position. May be as much for being able to recover as it is for aerobic endurance.

That was my first reaction too. Then again it seems he is not the first.

I watched the Ken Burns documentary on baseball. There were some non-stars who retired decades ago, who were also from poor backgrounds. At the time it was "just" speed, but they were pretty open about it basically being an economic decision.
