Some fairly massive indictments in various Dutch and Belgian media today. While both DSM and Hirschi refrain from comment, the gist is the team started looking into his data, had some questions, didn't like the (non)answers they were getting and decided to move him to the exit. Apparently the third time the team (or its previous incarnations) are doing this. Previously there were Clement Lhotellerie (2008) and one Stefan Schumacher (2005). Both were shown the door. Both were found out not long after.

Gotta say I am not surprised....when his departure was first announced, and the way wording of the announcement, raised all kinds of red flags for me.
Just say "NO!" to WCP!!!!

Yes, I was hoping that the disagreement was just about him being caught red handed shopping around for a 2022 team while still under existing contract but this was the alternative explanation.

Do you guys have a link for this? CyclingNews seemed silent. My googling attempts got me to links of his new team with everything sounding rosy and one Italian site with "page not found". (Too controversial and they took it down?) So I'm ignorant save these three posts. Is this a "Hirshi came up too fast. We don't believe he is clean" or more?

It boils down to lack of transparency and being perceived as a reputation risk for team and sponsor. Digging from a cycling journalist who is typically informed on undercurrents in cycling. But Nothing hard that other outlets could grasp into in copying the story. I did see it repeated in lEquipe and a few other Euro outlets.

This one probably has most detail. There is some speculation on disagreement about ketones which are not illegal but something DSM doesn’t want in their team.
