Dennis Miller was funny today--

Who said "I am fighting for my life"?
a) Lou Gerhig dying of ALS
b) Babe ruth dying from cancer
c) A-Rod facing a suspension

Somebody should shove A Rod (a BIG one) up Arod's A-hole.

I say if A-Rod gets a pass, Pete Rose has to be addressed.

Has A-roid used the " -7 defense " yet?

It goes like this: "You should have known that I was on PEDs, you dummies. You enjoyed the show; what's your problem now?"

Yes, caveat emptor, in all sorts of ways. Saw a show last night on PBS about the craziness of HS football: 275 lb linemen (lineboys?) and the indications that repeated sub-concussive head trauma can cause dramatic brain injury.

There is a saying that we get the government we deserve. Maybe that applies to sports 'heroes' as well.

Yo Mike, many years ago there was a PBS doc on HS football in Texas mostly focusing on Odessa, TX. If you can find it on TV or the web, its worth a watch...even though its depressing.

Hmmmmand now reports come out that A-Rod dropped a dime to MLB about Ryan Braun and even his own freakin' catcher!!!

Like I said, he is just LA with a bat.

What an asshat.
Just say "NO!" to WCP!!!!

That guy has an interesting who's who list of sports clients, not to mention he's apparently buddy buddy with "Healing Hans".

I went to grad school with a guy that was in Odessa during the Friday Night Lights time period. Apparently, the book and movie captured the time and place perfectly. I remember a big kid in my graduating class, went Div 1 as a lineman, he was 6'2" 225 in HS, nowdays he would be a running back. Even here in CO all the all-state lineman are 6'6" 295 or bigger. Boggles my mind.

I found it funny that Dempster took like 3 shots before he hit him, Boston faithful probably loved it.

The odd thing is that the Yankees and A-Fraud are going at it like crazy but this incident somehow galvanizes them as a team? Imagine if they scrape their way into the playoff race? At this point I am surprised that anyone in the sport would stand up for A-Fraud after he has basically taken a giant deuce on the entire sport. He and Braun should get a room
