http://lizardheadcyclingguides.com/road-mountain-bike-tours/spring-fall-bike-tours/ride-jan-ullrich/ Tour Size: The Jan Ullrich tour will be comprised of no more then 13 cyclists.
Point-to-Point: This tour rides an audacious point-to-point route across Utah that showcases the rugged backbone of the state. Visit Capitol Reef, Bryce and Zion National Parks. Climb up to 10,500-feet in elevation to view Cedar Breaks National Monument and for the finale descend nearly 10,000-feet to Zion National Park. This tour delivers Utah’s hidden waterfalls, slot canyons and secluded roads. One of our best tours for a challenging point-to-point adventure.
Our Home Terrain: Lizard Head Cycling’s Ride with Jan Ullrich tour delivers Utah’s incomparable topography, isolation, and wonder.
Highlights: Along with riding to Bryce and Zion National Parks, our route incorporates the Fish Lake Mountains, Boulder Mountain, Cedar Breaks National Monument and Utah’s Incomparable Highway 12.
This tour completes the western exploration of Utah that started with our Redrocks Canyons (eastern Utah) and Whiterock Canyons Tours (central Utah).
Several days on this tour allow for afternoon hikes such at to Calf Creek’s 126-foot high waterfall and the Virgin River Narrows in Zion National Park (see picture on Day 7).
The Ride with Jan Ullrich tour features a smorgasbord of scenic highlights including Grand Staircase – Escalante National Monument, Cedar Breaks National Monument and Zion National Park.

An epic route! But clogged with motor homes.
Wading the Virgin River with Jan would be a wonderful, strange experience. Maybe Hunter Thompson could do it justice.

Sounds inviting until I saw the price ($4,895). I could buy a new bike and go on my own tour.....

1991 summer road trip in Datsun B210 and a ton of hiking...had to pull out the old photo album...memories

Sequoia
Joshua Tree
Wupatki NM
Grand Canyon (hiked to bottom on north side)
Zion
Bryce
Navaho NM
Monument Valley
Hovenweep
Mesa Verde
Arches
Salt Lake City
Tetons
Yellowstone
Mammoth Hot Springs

The parks were nice...the native american architecture was amazing :-)

Its time to take the kids out there now that they're strong hikers...too bad I no longer have time to replicate a 3mo road trip.

Are you sure he is going to make it? I hear he is being prosecuted for drunk driving.
