The NYC Century route includes a stop at the Kissena Velodrome in Queens.

LSD,
I raced juniors in high school. Went to GW from 1984-1988. Somewhere in there, I went to that race at the ellipse (spectator). Maybe I saw ya?!

When I was at GW I listened to whatever that "alternative" radio station was. One day the interviewed Mojo Nixon. I guess he's from those parts, and used race bikes. He also talked about racing criteriums on a fixed gear. Crazy, right? (We're an odd lot. LOL.)

Mojo Nixon raced bikes? Wonder if that means Elvis raced bikes, too?
"Even Lance Armstrong has some Elvis in him....." LOL!!!

"When I was in high school, I was racing bicycles. I was possessed by bicycle racing, which is a good way to get away from people. But I always had an odd take on things. I actually tried for hours—for weeks at a time—to fit in, and I finally realized there's no hope of that. I'm never going to be a normal civilian. I shouldn't even try."

I really should like the track more than I do as it was the first place I ever won a race. err the only place. The lack of hills seems to be the key.

Master, the hills one those tracks are steep enough for me, but not remotely long enough! And the races - too short! By hours!
