Gravel riding 101. Don’t put emergency energy gels together in handlebar bag with heavier and sharp items such as tools. It WILL create a sticky mess.

Best laundry feature I eve purchased - a front loader with a very good delicate cycle. I've washed all sorts of unusual items.

Edit: and of course, there's the Ortlieb bags you wash like a pot.  Farmers market catastrophes are no big deal (other than the produce lost).
