This one will is perfect for that IM. The duct tape job on the beam will match your sleeveless jersey. Instant classic http://baltimore.craigslist.org/bik/3995033036.html

Oh good lord......

I could probably even scare up a "mankini" to match the beam.

Guy certainly seems to be a fan of beam bikes. That is a nice, old-school Zipp in the backlground.

The Zipp 2001/3001 looked wicked back in the day. Very heavy and the rear brake didn't really work well, but it sure was cool with the carbon-fiber shroud. The first 2001 used an Allsop beam but they later migrated to their own unique beam as shown in the photo above. It's interesting that the design is still legal for use in triathlons. Even the Lotus and Hotta are still legal.

To this day, the Lotus and Zipp 2001 are two of the most striking bikes out there.

6ix, You should talk to Greg about his beam bike that unfortunately was never produced. IIRC, it was gonna get done by Mitsubishi.....thing looked wicked. If you guys did an update version of that (threadless fork, integrated brakes, blah, blah, blah) you'd get HUGE interest from the tri market.

Can't believe I forgot to include that. I remember wanting one of those when I was a sophomore in high-school! 1994, maybe? I recall LeMond entering into some sort of relationship with Mitsubish but I think that ended once Trek got involved. I think they made a few of the V2 Boomerangs but maybe they were just promotional. The paint-scheme for the '94 road frames looked pretty sweet. Actually like that version of the logo a lot.

Cos - If I could remember how to post picks, I would give you the "Kenny Souza" pick in his mankini.
