You guys are making the point that an Oylimpic medal is great for the rider and thier future team. I 100% agree with those statements.

The question on the table is , is it good for the current employer.?

Take Quick Step. Cav wants to get a medal. Cool. He takes sometime off from riding road to get on a track bike. Does this benift Quick Step in any way? This year. I guess it does cause it got his name in the paper. So I'm wrong. Going for an Oylimpic medal is a good thing for everyone.

The World Champ also has the Olympics as one of her top goals:

"Looking ahead to future goals, “PFP” (Ferrand-Prevot) picks out the 2016 Olympics as her primary target. "
