Contador beat Froome in a TT today-- which probably means Froome will win the TdF since good form early tends to mean bad form later in the season. But hey maybe AC will win the Giro.

O yeah and a certain Fabian won a sprint -- classics form coming around. Pitcher and catchers have reported to spring training. All of which helps to ignore the single digit temps outside. Brutal winter round here (Northeast US)

You meant to say of course that Kelderman beat Contador and Froome; which is not too shabby given that he hit the deck earlier that day. |

| Boy it sure seems early for AC to retire. But hey when it's time it's time. The other thing about the Tour of Andalucia is that Basso did pretty darn well on the TT and is in 7th now. Kind of surprising given his generally mediocre history of TTing. And the fact that he's 75 yrs old. |

...and in cycling news AC gave the peleton a bit of a beat down today. Altho have to admire Froome for clawing back a bit at the end. Fun to watch Basso leading Berto out before he attacked

We make choices all the time. Cubs or Cubbies are not names I'd pick for a ball team. I mean, even Red Sox or Cardinals has more penache than Cubs.
The Cubs became the Cubs in 1907, dropping the Whitestockings name from 1870.
The Chicago football Bears (nee Decatur Staleys) were not so named until 1922. So the Cubs could have been the Bears, or something else, but chose otherwise.
I guess there is just something about Chicago and the Cubs, and I think on that we can agree!
