Kittel? He's still recovering from virus. Not expected to race until close to Tour. Or did you mean Greipel? In that case yes; today and in Flanders he put in a ton of work for his team.

What Greipel can't work hard for his team just cause he rides for Lotto? :-) Let's see if this has any consequences. It was definitely dumbfoolery. 8s to spare on a close to 300kph train. http://velonews.competitor.com/2015/04/news/french-railway-seeks-legal-action-against-roubaix-riders_366396

I sympathize with the mindset: when you're racing the urge to GO GO GO DON'T GET DROPPED is so powerful. And the usual self preservation impulses are subdued, too. Just riding those cobbles is dumb, too.
