Back to you....my daughter and son-in-law will be visiting us along with our two grandkids (ages 3 and 7 months). Our 'middle son' Dan, who is a veteran of Desert Storm, is buying his first house and we will be helping him move on turkey day. We have a lot to be thankful for. |

Enjoy! Probably my favorite holiday. It's a very genuine holiday. Very quiet and peaceful at our house. I like doing the local 5k for the food bank in the morning with my son. Dinner, then dishes and then a walk in the woods with the dog and family. And a rare 4 day weekend that looks to have clear skies here. Happy Thanksgiving! |

Happy Thanksgiving all. While I eat my share of turkey, I hope I remember to recall the one turkey I have seen in the "wild". "Wild" because I saw it beneath my old riding partner's porch, viewing it/her from 15 above as she incubated her egg beneath a bush that was still a month away from leaves. So she was completely in plain sight but it took me 10 minutes to actually see her, the whole time my friend pointing out details on her, which way she was pointing, her size and colors. Amazing camouflage! I hope she celebrates Thanksgiving as a free bird. Ben |

Regarding the man in red, actually that's me at the cross nats in 82. The truth was going to come out eventually.

A year of transitions -- some sorrowful, some joyful -- but a lot to be thankful for. My father passed in April. He came to visit in February, and we saw Carmen at the Met together, one of his life goals. The mother-in-law passed in September. We spent a week together before Labor Day -- laughing, joking, playing cards, and watching hummingbirds. She got to see the daughter's baby bump, which brings up the most joyful transition. Our daughter's baby is due in a couple of weeks. Can't hardly wait to meet him in person. so, yes: Happy Thanksgiving ! |

I hope you all had a great time. We spent the week with friends and family. We had a great time, except the one instance of cyclist vs driver argument. I didn't hear the discussion, only the yelling, but my cyclist buddy went off on my wife's brother in law, who seems to think cyclists are a lower form of life and should stay off the road. |

Red skinsuit guy. Wow, it's been a while. Glad I didn't see THAT right before T-day dinner! I spent it in Florida with my GF visiting her mom and playing golf, which I just took up in August. Weird being somewhere all warm and sunny then coming home to cold weather! |

Glad you got a break from VT's dark months of November and December. |
