I think the problem is that there is no sustainable business model. Streaming video continues to supplant physical media, and torrent sites bleed off a good chunk of what is already a relatively small market. WCP likely had the opportunity to transition to a streaming / subscription service, but (IMO) they had taken their eyes off the ball and were working on trying to build the other sides of their business (catalog, etc)....which was also a dying market.

Just say "NO!" to WCP!!!!

didn't they slap you with a brutal cease and desist letter CK, when you offered to share burned copies of that RAI race with us on the VN forum?

I've exhausted my collection of Tour de France and Giro DVD's. Can't bring myself to watch another minute while sitting on the trainer. Any suggestions on where to go to download older races, like 90's Tours? Don't want to stream and the video quality on Youtube is horrendous.

cyclingtorrents.nl Create an account and download to your hearts content. More races than you can ever possibly watch.

I don't know about cyclingtorrents.nl. Their files are usually way too large, and if you don't keep a certain download/upload ratio you get bounced off the site. That just seems stupid, as you are dependent on others downloading your material. I don't know if this policy has changed, but that's why I'm not allowed to get any videos from their site. And if you sign in with another account, you need a different email address and have to wait 30 days until you can download anything of substance. The good thing is they have many videos not produced by WCP. Bad thing, aside from what I mentioned above, if no one is seeding a particular race you can't download it.
