LSD,

You "caught me". It's in quotes because, I did see the bike as no nonsense, but it was based on a snap judgment. I would think no-nonsense as being less flash and bling and more, does what it's supposed to. I guess low spoke count wheels don't fall into that category...and I have them as well. I guess I was going purely by the somewha "common" brand and black and white color scheme. Then again, when we're judging aesthetics, it's purely subjective.

There are bikes that I think are beautiful, but just not for me. My personality is more low key. While living in New York in the '90's, one day, ONE DAY, I wore a black shirt with black pants. Not a single stranger looked at me strangely. But a friend at work just said, "Nick, that's not for you." A woman no less. Oy.

PS: "Dressed in all black in NYC", reminds me of the late Lou Reed. I was/am a fan . . .

I like Lou a lot too. I thought I knew everything about him, but I'm reading the biography, "Transformer", by Victor Bockris about him, and I guess I didn't. It's a good book, not great, but has a fair amount of stuff I didn't know about.
