SBS: no problem. If there is anyone on the forum who should be riding a carbon bike it's you. You are pedaling some serious weight up the hills around here.

I used to love Conti tires, but sidewall failures left me cold (and stranded). I tried to contact the company but got no response. I no longer use any Conti products - bike or automobile.

I did not know this was common.  I had two sidewall failures with Conti 4000s, one of which forced me to replace a rim. 

I'd love a carbon bike.  Does the S-1 number, where S is the separation number, go down as the cost of bikes go up?  Hmm, I could use one at the cabin, it was beautiful last week and I couldn't ride and Mason Lake is right around the corner.
