Santa Cruz tallboy 29er. Great bike for a near geezer. I've already done more miles on this than all bikes last year (had some ortho issues improved by surgery last fall).

Primary Road Bike - Specialized Venge w/ Ultegra Di2

No standalone pic of my TT bike...this is from Madison 2 years ago. Only real change is a disc wheel in back now, not a wheel cover. Specialized Shiv TT w/ Dura Ace and Ultegra crank.

Cross bike - Specialized Crux w/ 105 and cantis.

My old reliable Serotta Colorado II. Note the DT friction shifters!!

My Mooney isn't anything to look at now but the new chainrings and cogs have arrived. Been talking to Phil Wood about a BB. (The crazy triple chainline fix gear.) Picked up almost new Sugino GT crankarms (for $25!). Need to get the 17 and 21 tooth cogs "dingled (TiCycles is on board to do that), find or have made some 10mm shoulder bolts for the chainrings, toss all this on the bike, re-space and dish the rear wheel (a couple of mm) and the bike will be ready to ride.

I also want to set up some wide track bars with V-brake levers. I'm hoping I can stop with cantis; might install backwards travel agents - I really want those huge hoods! We are talking many miles of hauling on the bars out of the saddle. Bloody hands by day three of seven? Not fun. Nice that the bars are totally separate from the drive train!

I was going to use a long axle and run the crankset as a "normal" double with the inner ring on the same chainring bolt separated by a spacer. Then I had the thought "why not put the inner and middle rings on the crank spider and space out the outer ring?" Wow! I can use a 113mm symmetrical BB axle. Totally normal! I'll still go Phil Wood to have a BB for the rest of my life. Also, being able to dial in the chainline will mean a lot. With the inner chainring just touching the chainstay, chainlines are within 2mm of perfect. (At least, that is what my measurements and drawing show. We will see.) And that touching hardly matters. 531. 34 year old paint job seeking a reason to be replaced.

When this all gets done, there will be pictures. Promise.

Spud - what are the details with the last bike? Looks quite the historic bike. Have you owned it long? That looks like a wild amount of rake on the fork?

To post a pic, have it hosted on a site like photobucket.com. Copy the address of the image and post it using the following syntax:

{img} image address {/img} but replace the {} brackets with [ ] brackets to make it functional.

So this....

LOL! Yeah, I could thin the herd some and likely will when we move to a smaller place but for now I have a soft spot for all of them. Kind of an N+1 equation
