the irony is that the farther out in the country you go, the more room and polite the drivers seem to be. well, that's how it is around these here parts anyways.
some years back on the old Velonews forum there was a chap from Georgia who raced for a John Deere dealership and they had these great green logo jerseys. tried to buy one of those, they'd be great for rural riding.

Jacques, this jersey? I was able to get one from him. Between it and the Dukes of Hazzard I get a free pass in any redneck part of the world

Yes! what a double-dose of jersey awesomeness!
that Boss Hogg jersey and a pair of daisy dukes would look real stunning on ya' there, Dale.

I have to say down town Philly has gotten a lot better in the last few years. Few times I had had PU trucks try hit me with their side mirrors and they thought it was funny. Hasn't happened for a while and I don't use my middle finger as much as I used to but occasionally still have to yell "douche bag". Not around the burbs though. They are rather civilized.

I had a wee shouting match, OK two on my Wednesday commute home. First the ding dong that is riding the wrong way up the Burrard Bridge bike path which is quite narrow and immediately adjacent to closed lanes that are under repair. No effing clue. I have seen him before too i think. I recognize the full sleeve tats and no helmet. Then on a side street near the beach some female ding dong is riding right at me on the wrong side of the street. I whistle loudly and motion her to go over to the proper side of the street and utter a WTF? and get a FO back. Should have turned around and hooked the aresehole.
