Iconic Italian frame company Bianchi has released images of a new Campagnolo EPS-equiped black Oltre model, underlining its intention to get behind the push into the electronic shifting market.
The Oltre frame has been kitted out with the new Super Record EPS 11-speed groupset, which will be used by several pro squads in 2012 after being tested by the Movistar team during 2011.
The frame has been constructed from USM40 High Modulus carbon fibre and features internal cable routing, an integrated-effect aero carbon seapost and aero carbon forks.
It also includes several other features such as Bianchi’s UTSS Ultra Thin Seat Stay and its X-TEX carbon net in the head tube (UTSS), designed to boost comfort and strength respectively, plus Carbon nano technology.
The Vacansoleil-DCM team will use the Oltre frame in 2012, although it will be kitted out with Dura Ace rather than Campagnolo componentry. The Pro Continental Androni-CIPI squad will also use the frames, and has an agreement with SRAM.
