Press Release
The Women's Cervélo TestTeam captured a 1-2 finish in the first day of GP Costa Etrusca with Emma Pooley taking first place and Kristin Armstrong taking second, finishing 19 seconds down from Emma. Marianne Vos (Nazionale Paesi Bassi) captured third place in the sprint for second against Kristin.
Regina Bruins had a bad day crashing and breaking her collarbone, "It happened on the last climb. Before this climb, I was setting the pace for Emma Pooley and Kristin Armstrong but at the end of the climb I lost contact and on the downhill I tried to comeback to the leaders group. I was just 10 seconds behind and then I crashed.
"It's a very bad time to crash as I will miss Trofeo Alfredo Binda, Tour de Flanders and the Ronde van Drenthe. The doctors in the hospital say that I'm out for 4 weeks."
