Spaniard Ange Vicioso (Andalusia-CajaSur) won the fifth and final stage of the 53rd edition of the Tour of Asturias with fellow countryman Francisco Mancebo (Rock Racing) taking home the overall win. Todays 177km stage took place between Oviedo and Cangas de Narcea.

On a team where morale was likely running low due to the recent retirement of teammate Tyler Hamilton after being caught doping, the Rock Racing team worked well to keep any threats to Mancebo's lead in check.

Mancebo make this two wins on the year, the other bein his stage on win at the Tour of California. The Spaniard followed his win up with a bad crash in stage seven of the race, but has been able to come back strong despite the distractions.

Stage
1. Angel Vicioso (ESP) Andalucia 4hr 21min 50sec
2. Grega Bole (SLO) same time
3. Tiago Machado (POR) s.t.

General classification
1. Francisco Mancebo (ESP) Rock Racing 19hr 19min 06sec
2. Tiago Machado (POR) at 24secs
3. Javier Moreno (ESP) 39
