Tour of Oman video highlights: Rugged, spectacular scenery and aggressive finales define first three days of racing

Tour of OmanAs the race heads towards the decisive summit finish of Green Mountain today, race leader and double stage winner Peter Sagan (Cannondale Pro Cycling) is seeking to hold off a cluster of determined GC specialists behind.

It remains to be seen if his year on year improvements have reached the point where he can take on mountain climbers such as Albert Contador (Team Saxo Tinkoff), Vincenzo Nibali (Astana), last year’s winner Peter Velits (Omega Pharma Quick Step) and 2012 Tour de France runner up Chris Froome (Sky) but, whatever happens, the first three days of racing have been spectacular thus far and more fireworks and stunning scenery are in store today.
