Tour de Suisse
Swiss rider Fabian Cancellara (Saxo Bank) has shown he is back to winning form again after taking honors on the first day of his home Tour. With the Tour de Suisse being an important build up race for Tour de France contenders, Roman Kreuziger (Liquigas) and Andreas Klöden (Astana) also showed they had good form just 19 and 22 seconds back respectively.
Following close behind were the Columbia-High Road trio of George Hincapie, Tony Martin, and Kim Kirchen who will lead the team in the Tour next month.
Cancellara took his sixth win in the Tour de Suisse on the flat 7.8km stage in Liechtenstein while clocking an average speed of 49.989 kilometers per hour.
