Membership now open to fans worldwide

Three time Tour de France winner Greg LeMond and his LeMond Revolution company have announced their backing for the Bike Pure global cycling team, adding their support to the anti-doping initiative.

The team has been launched by Bike Pure co-founder Andy Layhe, and membership is open to fans worldwide who wish to illustrate their support for clean cycling.

“Bike Pure are delighted to have the support of Greg LeMond and LeMond Revolution as co-title sponsor of our new team structure,” said Layhe. “An avid anti-doping campaigner and role model to many, Greg’s career epitomizes integrity, so the partnership is a perfect combination.”

He pointed out that the sport has suffered from doping scandals and the associated negative press in recent years, but that there were still strong reasons to be involved.

“There is a lot to celebrate about the sport – the health benefits coupled with the sheer enjoyment of riding a bike, to name just a few,” he said. “With the intervention of Greg LeMond and our other title sponsor Aspire Velotech we urge like minded cyclists of all ages and abilities to join with the team to celebrate the sport of cycling, whilst at the same time actively displaying their support for fair, honest sport.”

The LeMond Revolution logo will appear on the team jersey, while the Bike Pure wristbands and helmet spacers will be available for purchase on the Revolution website.

Those who sign up for membership will have a variety of free and discounted products. The latter deals include reduced price bike fitting at Bike Science, discounted carbon bikes from TURAS, LeMond Revolution discount and reduced price Sufferfest videos.

Members will get a personal welcome letter from LeMond, two limited edition signed cards by Greg LeMond, free Defeet cycling socks, frame stickers, membership card and Bike Pure wristbands.

A team kit featuring a variety of products has been launced by Decca.

Bike Pure is a not for profit organisation run by Layhe. Membership fees will go towards the running of the Bike Pure - LeMond - Aspire Velotech Development Team in the UK.
