Frenchman Pierrick Fédrigo has decided to continue riding for the French Bbox-Bouygues Telecom directed by Jean-Rene Bernaudeau.
An announcement on the team's website quashed rumors that Fédrigo would ride for Bjarne Riis' Saxo Bank team.
"He will remain with us for another year," confirmed Bernaudeau.
Fédrigo was a part of France's most succefull Tour de France for years, winning the 160.5 kilometer stage nine from Saint-Gaudens to Tarbes. Teammate Thomas Voeckler also won the fifth stage from Cap d'Agde to Perpignan, likely helping Bouygues Telecom's decision to extend their cycling sponsorship for another year.
