Van Goolen, 28, was dissatisfied with his non-selection for the Vuelta A Espana. Van Goolen, a strong climber who finished 16th overall at last years Vuelta, hopes to ride more grand tours with Silence Lotto. Team leader, Cadel Evans, will need his assistance if he hopes to knock Alberto Contador (Astana) off the top step of the podium.
