Bozic wants out?

Peter Jansen resigned from his duty as Vacansoleil team doctor during the second week of the Veulta. The doctor cited bad management by team manager Daan Luijckx as his reason for leaving.

Yesterday afternoon the doctor confirmed that both parties would be going their separate ways. Janssen might, however, not be the only one that is leaving. According to De Telegraaf several teammates informed them that Slovenian Borut Bozic is hoping to terminate his contract.

The Slovenian sprinter captured stage six in the Vuelta A Espana and finished close behind Andre Greipel (HTC-Columbia) on several occasions. Bozic apparently feels undervalued and underpaid, but Luijckx quieted the rumors saying: “It is true that Janssen resigned. With Bozic there is nothing wrong. We have signed Alberto Ongaroto to lead him out. Actually we want renegotiate and extend his contract.”

After an amazing debut, team sponsor Vacansoleil confirmed that they would raise the budget by another million euro. The team has already used the money to finance the signing of French brothers Romain and Brice Feillu, both riders currently race for the French Agritubel team, which is stopping at the end of the season.
