Compton and Albert begin World Cup with wins

The UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup opened today in Treviso, Italy with Katie Compton (Planet Bike) continuing her success across the pond, and World Champion Niels Albert (BKCP-Powerplus) showing off his rainbow stripes in dominant form.
Compton cruised in for victory 28 seconds ahead of Daphny Van Den Brand with Vision 1 Racing's Christel Ferrier-Bruneau a further 6 seconds behind.
Albert blew away the competition finishing with 42 seconds in hand over Zdenek Stybar (Telenet-Fidea) with Klaas Vantornout (Sunweb Pro Job) coming across the line in third 52 seconds off the World Champion's pace.
The second round of the World Cup is two weeks away on October 18 in Pizen, Czech Republic.
