Former Barloworld riders Diego Caccia and Paolo Longo Borghini have been signed by the ISD team for 2010. Team manager Angelo Citracca is expecting the pair to ride in support of the team leaders.
"We needed to strengthen the team with experienced people who are able to work hard for our captains. Caccia and Longo Borghini are exactly the kind of riders we are looking for. We are confident that they will work really well for [Giovanni] Visconti and [José] Rujano all year, " said Citracca.
Caccia, 28, placed 3rd on the 5th stage of the Presidential Tour of Turkey this year. He came in 9th place in the Italian time trial championship this year and placed 6th in 2008. He also rode the Giro d'Italia in 2009 finishing the race in 122nd place.
Longo Borghini, also 28, came in 8th place on the 2nd stage of the Giro della Provincia di Grosseto in February. He also rode the Giro d'Italia with Barloworld where he finished in 113th place. Last year the Italian finished 4th out of a breakaway in the 3rd stage of the Tour de France.
