Jonny Bellis is stable and progressing well in a London hospital after spending seven weeks at a hospital in Florence, Italy as a result of a motor scooter accident.
Bellis, 21, suffered from a fractured skull and bruising to his brain when he crashed back on September 19. Doctors put the Manxman in a medically induced coma as a precaution after performing an operation to relieve the pressure on his brain.
He also had an operation to remove a blod clot in his brain, and doctors said the cyclist has been making the expected progress over the last several weeks.
Bellis was in his first year as a professional riding for Bjarne Riis' Saxo Bank team when the accident happened.
