The Footon-Servetto team has signed three more riders for its 2010 lineup. The UCI ProTour team has added Spaniards Vidal Celis (Barbot) and Iban Mayoz Etxeberria (Xacobeo Galicia), as well as Portuguese National road race champion Manuel Cardoso (Liberty Seguros) to the team.
Celis, 27, is a sprinter who has ridden for Continental-tier teams for the past four seasons. He started on the Orbea team (2005-07) and then move to Barbot where he has ridden for the last two years.
Basque signing Etxeberria, 28, will make 2010 his seventh season as a pro. He has ridden for Relax, Euskaltel-Euskadi and Xacobeo Galicia, and has had top-ten placings at the tours of Andalusia, La Rioja and Mallorca.
Cardoso, 26, is expected to be one of the leaders on the team. The Portuguese rider had eight victories in 2009, bringing his total close to 30 in his three seasons as a professional. Cardoso makes the third national champion on Footon-Servetto, joining Austrian road race champion Markus Eibegger and the country's U23 time trial champion Matthias Brändle.
