The newly named Footon-Servetto-Fuji team will hold its first training camp in preparation for 2010 this weekend in the Cantabrian village of Hoznayo in Spain. Earlier today, the team was once again confirmed by the sport's governing body as part of the UCI ProTour circuit. The the training camp will run from Saturday to the following Wednesday. Most of the team's confirmed signings will take part in this first session.
The camp will also see the team’s medical staff making their first health checks of the riders. The staff will take the opportunity to work with riders on their programs for 2010, as well as perform tests to help their performance that includes biomechanics, nutrition and psychology. The team will also be taking part in a highly focused motivational course over the course of the five day camp.
For 2010, the Footon-Servetto-Fuji team has focused on bringing young talent onto the roster. With an average age of just over 24 years, the team is the youngest amongst the ProTour ranks.
