The Belgian Quick Step team has shown interest in track cyclist Iljo Keisse. Team manager Patrick Lefevere told Het Nieuwsblad he was interested in the former Topsport Vlaanderen rider after he cleared himself of a positive doping test earlier this year.
"Wouter Weylandt hopes that Keisse, his training partner, will come and ride with us," said Lefevere, who confirmed there is still room for more riders on his team.
He added: "Keisse's manager has already contacted me. I think next week we will sit down [and discuss the possibility]. Now that Alberto Contador isn't coming to the team I only have 26 riders. There is room [on the team] for Keisse."
