Lance Armstrong packed his family and of course his bicycle to spend some time on the Big Island of Hawaii. The Texan is already in full swing to prepare for the next season and his quest to win an eighth Tour de France.
"It's incredibly nice here," he twittered, after checking out some of the local roads. "Doesn't feel like work to me," he added. Hawaii's two big cities, Hilo and Kona, offer riders a chance to go from sea level to Mauna Kea (13,803 feet) or Mauna Loa (13,796 feet).
But Armstrong may not be interested in doing such hard climbs that early in the season. Instead, he can ride around on the famous parcours of the Ironman Hawaii and check out the neighborhood. "Great ride here in Kona. Played a little on the TT bike too," he said via twitter.
