Tuesday, June 24, 2008 De Jongh Prolongs with Quick Step by VeloNation Press at 9:03 AM EST   comments Categories: Pro Cycling   Today the Quick Step team announced that Steven De Jongh has prolonged his contract. The 34 year old Dutch rider will stay with the team through 2009. "We are very satisfied for this agreement", explained team manager Patrick Lefevere, "Steven is an important part of our train for the sprints, and he also showed that he is able to win the races when he has the responsibility of the team." De Jongh commented, "I had several proposals for other teams, but I chose Quick Step because my heart is with the team, with Tom and the rest of the guys.
