Saturday, January 30, 2010 Junior cross Worlds end with surprise win by Bjorn Haake at 10:23 AM EST   comments Categories: Pro Cycling, Cyclocross, Race Reports and Results, World Championships   The junior race in the Cyclo-cross World Champsionships in Tabor, Czech Republic, was won by home rider Tomas Paprstka. He beat Frenchman Julian Alaphilippe in a tight two-up sprint. Nine seconds later Dutch rider Emiel Dolfsma secured bronze. Places six and eight went to Gert-Jan Bosmann and David van der Poel, according to Wielerflits.nl. This was a big surprise, as the two were often at the front in the junior races throughout the season. Results for the 2010 Junior Cyclo-cross World Championships: 1. Tomas Paprstka (Tsj) 40'30 2. Julian Alaphilippe (Fra) s.t. 3. Emiel Dolfsma (Ned) at 9s 4. Matej Lasak (Tsj) at 19s 5. Gianni Vermeersch (Bel) at 20s 6. Gert-Jan Bosman (Ned) at 39s 7. David Menut (Fra) at 48s 8.
