Junior cross Worlds end with surprise win

The junior race in the Cyclo-cross World Champsionships in Tabor, Czech Republic, was won by home rider Tomas Paprstka. He beat Frenchman Julian Alaphilippe in a tight two-up sprint. Nine seconds later Dutch rider Emiel Dolfsma secured bronze.
Places six and eight went to Gert-Jan Bosmann and David van der Poel, according to

. This was a big surprise, as the two were often at the front in the junior races throughout the season.
