Financial problems cited as a possible cause
According to the normally reliable French website, Cyclismag, Austrian Pro Continental outfit, Vorarlberg-Corratec, has been temporarily suspended by the UCI due to financial problems.
Earlier this week, the team disappeared from the UCI's list of Pro Continental teams, and then the team did not start at the Delta Tour Zeeland in the Netherlands, where the team would have taken part had their not been any issues.
For a team like Vorarlberg-Corratec, missing the Delta Tour Zeeland should not pose any dire worries, but if they do not get their affairs in order quickly, other race starts will be compromised. The next big race on their calendar is the Tour of Slovenia, which starts on the 17th of June. After that, one of the team's highlight races, their national Tour, the Tour of Austria, could be out of the question if the team does not settle its issue with the UCI quickly.
