In the final, Van Impe drove me brilliantly in the last kilometre, putting me in the perfect position to win the sprint. After the Vuelta España I tried to maintain an high training intensity and stay concentrated. Now I want to stay in shape until the end of the season to try to reach some other goals.”

Weylandt is set to take part in the Circuit Franco-Belge from October 2nd to the 5th. “I’m going to participate in the Circuit Franco-Belge in support of Tom Boonen." explained Weylandt. "If I should see a chance for me, I will try and be prepared to take it.”
