Tom Boonen had x-rays at the Herentals Clinic in Belgium this afternoon. The examination underlined a little problem at the articulation of his right wrist which was the result of a fall during the final stage of the Circuit Franco-Belge yesterday.

As a precautionary measure, the Belgian will be wearing a brace to avoid stablize his wrist to promote the healing process.

Over the next few days he will be training in the Monaco Principate preparing himself to take the start in the last classic of the season, Paris-Tours.
