Mikael CherelNew Ag2r La Mondiale signing Mikael Cherel will have the early part of 2011 disrupted after he was hit by a truck while training on the Col du Tanneron. The 24 year old Frenchman suffered whiplash in the incident and will have to be assessed again in ten day’s time.

In the meantime, he has been told he must rest, and that the date of his return to competition is as yet unsure.

The 24 year old turned pro with FDJeux back in 2007, having ridden as a stagiaire with the team beforehand. His results include a past win in the French junior road race championships and 25th overall in the 2009 Vuelta a España.
