Well known in the women’s cycling world, Patrick comes to the Cervélo TestTeam after two years of working as a Sports Director for the Swiss Team, Specialized Designs for Women. He is a licensed Sports Director and also the owner of Pb Sport Consulting. Based on his work background with various Swiss cycling teams Patrick brings significant experience as a Sports Director to his new assignment.
“I’m extremely happy to have this chance, thanks to Thomas Campana, to work with such a great team, “ said Banfi. “Not only will I have the opportunity to develop my skills and I will be able to continue my work with Emma Pooley. I see the great potential for this team and for the concept. To create something new together with these young riders and the veterans alongside is very interesting for me and I think it will also be a lot of fun.”
“Patrick Banfi will support the current Sport Director Manel Lacambra from the upcoming season on,” said Thomas Campana. “I’m confident both, Patrick and Manel will fit well together and complement each other. We have a top team and we are looking forward to the upcoming season.“
