Press Release
Skoda has decided to extend the contract with Team Saxo Bank and the Czech company will continue on as sponsor for the Danish team throughout 2009.
“We're very happy to extend our contract with Riis Cycling for the 2009 season. It was an easy decision with all the fantastic results last year. We're looking forward to the coming season and we're also exited to be a part of the new Team Saxo Bank. This sponsorship is very much in tune with the values, which Skoda stands for and is a great extension of the Skoda Factories' deep involvement in professional cycling sport,” says Marketing Director Peter Lorenzen.
“Our partnership with Skoda has lasted for a long time now and we're extremely happy to have them on board in 2009 also. We've gotten to know their products really well and both the sports directors and our staff are extremely satisfied with the cars. Skoda has provided us with an impeccable service and we look forward to another great season with great cars,” announces Bjarne Riis.
